The campsite in the Pululahua Geobotanical Reserve, which is home to the famous Pululahua volcano, is a perfect place to get out of the routine and enjoy with the family. The spot of the Pululahua Geobotanical Reserve is currently administered by the Ministry of the Environment, which makes it a safer site. In addition, it is located 17 kilometers from the city of Quito, on the Quito – Calacalí road, very close to the Middle of the World City, Quito, known for the famous monument to the Equator line. The particularity of Pululahua is that it is one of the few inhabited craters on the planet, a megadiverse and fertile place, which will leave you and your family with new energy to resume your routine.
DAY 1: Family Camping – Pululahua
We will pick you up from the hotel of your choice at 10:00 a.m. and we will start our trip to the Pululahua viewpoint, where we can enjoy our lunch box and a spectacular view of the moor that this place offers us. Once the first stop is over, we will go to the camping area managed by the Ministry of the Environment of Ecuador, where the native guide will make the pertinent registration and we will proceed to enter. Within the camping area we will recognize the place, have some safety instructions and prepare our family tent to camp, then we will have optional recreation games and at night we will prepare dinner to have a delicious snack, then we will rest to prepare for the adventure of the next day. The next day, we will get up at 7am, we will have breakfast, we will collect everything to start our next visits that awaits us: ¨los hornos de lime¨, ¨las aguas termominerales¨ and the two lava domes: ¨El Pondoña¨ and ¨ the Goat¨ for this day.
