DAY 1: Icemaker Route
We will pick you up from your preferred place at 6:00 am to arrive at the Cotopaxi viewpoint, a perfect spot for photographs and enjoy our lunch box. Next, we will go to the ice mines, where we will lead the way to the Chimborazo Glaciers. We will begin our walk of approximately 5 hours, in which we will be surrounded by the flora and fauna of the Andean páramo. Once we arrive at these glaciers, the native guide who will accompany us on this journey will show the laborious work that has been carried out from generation to generation extracting ice from the mine; thanks to this work we can enjoy the famous and traditional ¨paila ice cream¨. As our last stop we will approach the Ecuadorian railway line of the Urbina train which we will be able to appreciate an impressive view of the imposing Chimborazo; Then we will go to taste the typical food in the typical restaurants near the place.
