RESERVA GEOBOTÁNICA PULULAHUA
Difficulty:
Altitude: 3356m / 11010ft
Distance: 5km
Duration: 1 day
Date: All year
Pululahua is a calm and peaceful space, characterized by its clouds loaded with humidity on the Pacific coast. Likewise, it is the only reserve protected under the category of ¨Geobotanical Reserve¨. In addition, the Pululahua Geobotanical Reserve is known for its great variety of flora that thrives in the ravines. Hiking in the Pululahua geobotanical reserve is known for its Pululahua volcano that allows you to have trails with diverse ecosystems from a cloud forest to the páramo of the Andes. These trails have already been occupied for approximately 1000 years by the inhabitants of this region. ¨El Chivo¨ is called thanks to some aligned stones that give the shape of a dome in the center of the interior of the Pululahua volcano between El Chivo and Podoña; this formation indicates the position of the sun at the Solstice of December 21. The Pululahua Geobotanical Reserve is ideal for feeling the energy that comes from within the volcano in each piece of land, rock and water that surrounds it.

We will choose to go by the ¨Sendero del Chivo¨ which is characterized by being a pre-montane forest, in which part of the route there is an ascent with inclination until reaching the summit of this mountain, in which we can enjoy the lunch box and share.
